Proverbs 13:2 Hail the Good Race!

Proverbs 13:2

From the fruit of a person’s mouth, he enjoys good, But the desire of the treacherous is violence.  

In 1931 Berlin, Germany, was selected to host the 1936 Summer Olympic Games. It was chosen because it had recovered from the First World War, which it had helped start and would soon began the second world war. Little did the International Olympic Committee know that two years later the Nazi Party would take full control of Germany and it would elect Adolf Hitler as chancellor. In August 1934 Hitler declared himself Führer, of Germany, giving himself full power over the entire country. The Nazi Party was Socialist political system which many believe is a peaceful way to govern a nation but is totally oppressive and evil. The Nazi Party began in-between 1919 and 1920, but when the Great Depression started, it grew because the idea of fascism gained interest. Adolf Hitler became more famous because he used his gift of speech, telling the citizens of Germany, the Jews are the reason for the Great Depression. Germany is our nation, the nation of the Aryan Race, let us take what is theirs and make it ours, and let us get rid of all Jews and anyone else who is not like us. 

Ecclesiastes 4:1 Then I looked again at all the acts of oppression which were being done under the sun. And behold, I saw the tears of the oppressed and that they had no one to comfort them; and power was on the side of their oppressors, but they had no one to comfort them.

Because of rumors of  oppression happening in Germany, many nations wanted to boycott the 1936 Summer Games.  But eager to compete, many nations agreed to take part, so did the United States, which was the biggest supporter of a boycott. For the world the Summer Olympics were about friendly international games for Hitler it was purely about propaganda.  Hitler wanted to prove to the entire world how superior the Aryan race of Germany was. A state-of-the-art Olympic stadium, village, and housing for the athletes were constructed. When the Summer Games began, any evidence of oppression of Jews was hidden or taken out of public sites in Germany. However, the evidence was still evident because Jewish Athletes were forbidden to participate in Germany. Jesse Owens a Black American track and field athlete, was credited with “single-handedly crushing Hitler’s myth of Aryan supremacy“. Adolf Hitler would leave the Olympic stadium before Owen’s medal ceremony but not before seeing and hearing the German audience standing up and cheering for Owen’s victorious wins. World History knows soon after the Summer Games Hitler began his treacherous war against the world. Rather than surrendering when he knew he was going to lose, he ate a poisonous pill and shot himself dead. By his actions, Hitler proved he was not superior, he was just a poor loser and a  dead fool. God bless you all, Jesus loves you and so do I, His humble bondservant, Samuel Jerry Head.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 I again saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift and the battle is not to the warriors, and neither is bread to the wise nor wealth to the discerning nor favor to the skillful; for time and chance overtake them all. 12 For indeed, a person does not know his time: like fish that are caught in a treacherous net and birds caught in a snare, so the sons of mankind are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them. 13 This too I saw as wisdom under the sun, and it impressed me: 14 there was a small city with few men in it, and a great king came to it, surrounded it, and constructed large siegeworks against it. 15 But there was found in it a poor wise man, and he saved the city by his wisdom. Yet no one remembered that poor man. 16 So I said, “Wisdom is better than strength.” But the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are ignored. 17 The words of the wise heard in calm are better than the shouting of a ruler among fools. 18 Wisdom is better than weapons of war, but one sinner destroys much good.
