Proverbs 11:25 Art of Entering Living Water
Is the Holy Bible about a relationship with God and others, a religion, philosophy, or a combination of all three? A relationship is people getting to know each other, like a husband and wife. They know each other intimately; that is how they become one. Religion is a large group living by moral standards and rules and sharing those common beliefs. Philosophy in Greek means the love for wisdom. In Philosophy, people who feel like they are intelligent will reason together about the meaning of life. The book of Proverbs is godly wisdom teaching the followers of the Lord how to have a more abundant life. To know wisdom and instruction, To discern the sayings of understanding, To receive instruction in wise behavior, Righteousness, justice, and integrity; To give prudence to the naive, To the youth knowledge and discretion, A wise person will hear and increase in learning, And a person of understanding will acquire wise counsel, To understand a proverb and a saying, The words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction (Proverbs One two-seven). Bruce Lee started learning martial arts very young. His parents thought it was best because he got into many street fights. As he got older, he gained an interest in Philosophy. Bruce Lee believed that being a philosopher would help him adapt himself to a better life and better in combat. Be like water was Bruce Lee’s philosophy; pay attention and be mindful. Be ready for any or all situations in life or battle. Be water, my friend, was the gospel, according to Bruce Lee.
The Art of Being Like Water philosophy: “Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle, and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow, or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee believed in the art of dying, similar to Memento Mori, Latin, meaning, “Remember you must die.” The art of dying sets a person free from a lie that they will not die. Bruce Lee did not believe in deceiving yourself, just like lying is an abomination to God. The armor of God comes equipped with the belt of truth. The truth a prayer warrior has is that his or her relationship with the Lord is solid. Therefore a prayer warrior has for sure faith; because of their belief, they will not perish but have everlasting life. The Philosophy of the Art of Dying for Bruce Lee means you do not tell yourself defeat is not impossible. Do not lie to yourself; set your pride high, and feel like you cannot die in combat. It does not matter If you are religious or a philosopher; a lie has no power.
The Art of Dying philosophy, “Like everyone else, you want to learn the way to win, but never to accept the way to lose, to accept defeat, to learn to die is to be liberated from it. So, when tomorrow comes, you must free your ambitious mind and learn The Art of Dying.” Bruce Lee
In an interview, Bruce Lee was asked if he was religious, and his reply was “none whatsoever: When asked if he believes in God, his answer was,” To be perfectly frank, I really do not.” Nineteen seventy-three at the age of thirty-two, the sting of death struck Bruce Lee, and he died. Bruce Lee’s movie “Enter the Dragon” was released six days after his death. The movie was successful at the box office and is the best martial arts film ever made. Yes, Bruce Lee was a Martial Arts Master, but he could not escape death. Bruce Lee’s legacy lives on in his films and philosophical teachings. Belief in Bruce Lee’s being like water Philosophy does not give eternal life. The wisdom that is taught in Proverbs teaches the meaning of life. Being thirsty for Spiritual living water and belief in God’s word removes the fear of the sting of death.
