Proverbs 10:6-7 Blessings of Light
When I saw this Bible passage in the word of wisdom of King Solomon’s book of Proverbs, I thought of halos and an episode of Twilight Zone I remember a little bit. Halos are not really BIblical and nowhere in the Holy Bible does it say Jesus walking around with a glow over His heart. Jesus didn’t look holy, in fact, He dresses and lives like a common man. Most of the holy men and women of the BIble let their holiness shine in how they live and show love to God and others. The word halo was greek invited to describe a solid ring of light around the sun or moon, usually, a full moon is needed for it to happen. The early Christain artist used a beaming light, halo to encircle the heads of Jesus, Mary, and anyone else they felt was holy. The word nimbus or aureole is halo is seen in artwork over a person’s heard and in the ancient world anyone important king or queen or god had a halo either in painting or in statue carvings. Most ancient cultures used halo as an illuminating light on important cause most worship the sun and that had been mankind biggest problem since creation. Every ancient culture or civilization had a sun god, the Egyptians had Ra, the Buddhists had Maric. In the Holy Bible, worshipping the devil isn’t really talk about but the worship of the sun, and in the Bibe the sun god’s name is Baal. This causes mankind to believe the source of life is the sun, the sun makes food group. It gives energy for the lives to produces oxygen when the sun is shining less evil happens in the summer months the sun makes life a little more comfortable. Over and over the Lord say please don’t worship the sun, I made the sun and it gives light that provides land life possible. So since this was a common practice in early Christianity the artist would put a glowing halo on the heads of Jesus His mother Mary so that they would stand out among the rest of humans, so it a total pagan system with idol worship origins. When I was a young boy, I would watch old Twilight Zone episodes, and the one I remember is titled “ “The Purple Testament” This episode of Twilight Zone was about US soldiers in the Philippine Islands in 1945. One of the soldiers a lieutenant could tell who was going to die in battle by an aurora shining off other who would die soon. The other soldiers found out and would be asked, “ Is it me, am I going to die, “ the lieutenant didn’t like to give bad news so would remain quiet. One day he looked in the mirror and saw his face shiny and it was oh well, at least I know. Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-17 if you follow Him you are a disciple and as you follow and learn Jesus’ words you will be light unto the world and either who you live, talk or how you share the teachings and love of God, you are a light unto the world and no darkness can put you out.
Jeremiah 19:5 and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I did not command nor speak of, nor did it ever enter My mind;
The worshipper of Baal had evil practice the Lord really hated it and called it a serious abomination. They would have worship service to Baal, make a big fire, and throw their little sons and watch them burn and in pure pain. God even says, how can this nonsense enter your mind to worship an empty god, and kill your own flesh and blood. In so many ways do people who don’t listen to God’s wisdom sacrifice their children, either by abortion cause of someone’s disobedience to God’s word or by not teaching their children about God so they learn how to be disobedient themselves. Brothers and sisters the Lord is serious when comes to how you accept His wisdom or if you won’t live your life your way. You and I will either be a child of light and singing songs like, “This little light of mine, “ or we will be children of darkness and silent the voices of children and put to death any kind of music.
