Micah 3:6-7 The Horror In Horoscopes

Micah 3:6-7

6 Therefore it will be a night for you—without vision, And darkness for you—without divination. The sun will go down on the prophets, And the day will become dark over them. 7 The seers will be put to shame, And the diviners will be ashamed. Indeed, they will all cover their lips Because there is no answer from God.

People have always wanted a heads up on their tomorrow, to be prepared to meet a soulmate, to know if a job or promotion was coming and the numbers to use for a lottery. The ancient Babylonian astronomers made up a system, which is known as the zodiac horoscope. They would take a group of stars and design 12 equal signs, into a 30 day period. The whole zodiac was introduced between 409-398 B.C., for example, Cancer, Aquarius, and  Capricorn, which mean nothing to a Christian and. People still look up daily predictions and trust these bogus beliefs. Jesus said in the gospel not to worry about tomorrow.

Matthew 6:34  “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Little children are taught a  nursery rhyme, “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star”, the cute little rhyme is about an individual who is gazing at a star. “ Twinkle, Twinkle little star, How I wonder, what you are, “ no matter how cute and innocent the lullaby sounds, the star will never answer the young child’s questions. Have you ever attend a wedding and heard the priest say, ‘ Do you Gemini take this Virgo, or do you Cancer take this Capricorn?  You shouldn’t identify your character by a system that was made up of stargazers from thousands of years ago. Only a person with a real close relationship with the Maker of the star can and read what God has in store for him or her.

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans for prosperity and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Ask yourself, my brothers and sisters, and I need to ask myself also, should we go to stars, trees, cows, bats, green plants, or mushrooms to get answers to our question or try to see a prediction for our tomorrows. If so, whose voice is louder, the twinkling stars, or God’s voice who made the stars and your ear that is supposed to hear God’s voice? God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you all, and so do I, Samuel H.

Deuteronomy 4:19 And be careful not to raise your eyes to heaven and look at the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the heavenly lights, and allow yourself to be drawn away and worship them and serve them, things which the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven.
