Matthew 5:23-24 A True Worship Offering Without Regret of Guilt
Worshipping the Lord is about offering up a sacrifice, alway has been & alway will be. In the Old Testament most of the time it was personal clean livestock, in the New Testament if is sacrifice of self, both sacrificial offerings were & are giving your Lord, love. If you had some out there you have done something wrong against, or even if some one felt like you wronged them, your worship is useless to the Lord. When I decided to get baptized, my pastor at the time told, if I had wrong or sinned against anyone, I needed to confront them & admit I was wrong & as forgiveness. Some people I had an easy time confronting, but I broke down & asked my pastor, I had wrong my father in an argument we had, before I went to sleep, & woke up hours later & found him dead. I asked my pastor, how can I get forgiveness from a dead man, he told me to ask God. I was a baby Christian then & couldn’t understand what my pastor said, I told him a lie & said I ask God to forgive me on the matter, & I got baptized that summer of 2002. When my relationship with Lord grew, & trust His word, I had asked God to forgive me for cussing at my father, & yelling words of hate at my father, I felt in my heart I was forgiven & I felt cleanse of the words of hate I exchanged with my father.
The Lord wants a true and wholesome worship of sacrifice, if someone out there hears you are a new Christian & say I can’t imagine he or she is truly safe, I can remember all the horrible things he or she did. The Lord doesn’t want you to come to Him with hands with unwashed blood of your victims. Many of you may not know Shakespeare, but in the play Macbeth, Lady Macbeth feels guilty after assassinating Duncan. She has nightmares & talks in her sleep, then she tries vigorously to wash the spot of blood she sees on her hand, but they are not really there. She yells at me, “Damn Spots’ as if they never go away, even with soap & water over & over, the word blood appears 109 times in Shakespeare’s Macbeth play. Being a true Christain should make us feel like Lady Macbeth, if we have someone’s blood on our hands & guilt is not easy to wash away. I encourage you brothers & sisters, don’t go to the Lord in worship, with hate against anyone, or anyone who has a hard feeling for you. Go to that person & say I’m sorry please forgive me, if he or does, Amen! If they don’t, that’s okay you done your part & your Father God will be very grateful of your sacrifice of offering. Your heart & soul will feel of the guilty feeling of your hateful past, & you will have the loving feeling the Lord has for you. His love will treat you not not make enemies & if you, they are your enemies, because they have chosen you to be their enemy, not because you have made them your enemy. Jesus forgave His enemy, you as His follower , forgive your. Only then will your offering of worship be acceptable. God bless you, the Lord Jesus loves you & so do I.
Isaiah 59:2 But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, And your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.3 For your hands are defiled with blood And your fingers with iniquity; Your lips have spoken falsehood, Your tongue mutters wickedness. 4 No one sues righteously and no one pleads honestly. They trust in confusion and speak lies; They conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity.
