Matthew 16:16-19 Anti-Cornerstone
Jesus was having a teaching conversation with His disciples, asking whom do the people say I am, and whom do you say I am? The people of Israel were curious to know if Jesus was a former prophet living again. Peter, answering the question on behalf of the disciples, said, You, Jesus, are the Christ, the Son of the living God. Jesus, well pleased, replied by declaring that Peter’s answer was correct, and that Jesus was the Messiah, the only way into the kingdom of heaven. Jesus is the Rock and the foundation of salvation, not Peter. The Roman Catholic Church declares Jesus made Apostle Paul the first pope because of verses 18 and 19 of Matthew 16. Indeed, the Roman Emperor Nero crucified the Apostle Peter between 64 and 68 AD. The Roman Catholic church came into existence between 313 and 380 when the Empire transformed itself into a church. The Roman church blended many traditional Roman customs with the solid rock truth of God’s word into its Catholic religion. The pope is an elected leader of the Catholic church and is supposed to spread the faith worldwide. The apostle Peter or any other apostle would never allow the truth of Christ’s word to be twisted to gain more members. Peter would never let the second commandment be abolished, or the fourth be rearranged to please the ears of pagan believers. Even the modern pope is changing the church’s beliefs so that shifty Catholic Christians will feel welcome. The pope is supposed to represent Christ on earth, but he is not. Father God’s name is hollow; all that is done in the kingdom of heaven is done likewise on earth. Sadly, my Christian brothers and sisters, the message the pope teaches and preaches is anti-Christ and anti against the solid rock foundation of God’s word. Keep your love and devotion to your first love, God, and keep away from blasphemous lies. God bless you all; Jesus loves you, and so do I. His bondservant, Samuel Jerry Head.
