Mark 7:25-30 A Living Hope For Dogs

Mark 7:25-30

25 But after hearing about Him, a woman whose little daughter had an unclean spirit immediately came and fell at His feet. 26 Now the woman was a Gentile, of Syrophoenician descent. And she repeatedly asked Him to cast the demon out of her daughter. 27 And He was saying to her, “Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the dogs.” 28 But she answered and said to Him, “Yes, Lord, but even the dogs under the table feed on the children’s crumbs.” 29 And He said to her, “Because of this answer, go; the demon has gone out of your daughter.” 30 And after going back to her home, she found the child lying on the bed, and the demon was gone.

As the ministry of Jesus was traveling all over Israel, everyone was hearing of Jesus ’healings. Many were waiting with anticipation for the messiah to come, surely as the rumors of Jesus’ God-like miracles reputation was growing, many went see Jesus. Jews aren’t the only people who get sick and surely the Jews aren’t the only humans God created and He loves all mankind equally. God gave men and women the gift of being parents, having children, the gift of giving love, and receiving love. When a child is sick or suffering, the mother and father will suffer also and will do anything for their child to be healthy and happy again. The woman wrote about in the gospel of Mark 7:25-30, is not Jewish, but she knows of Jesus’ Godly miracles and she seeks His help to heal her daughter. The conversation between Jesus and the woman can be confusing, but Jesus is saying the children of Israel deserve healing first, or saying only the chosen  Jews are welcome to eat at the table of God and the dogs get the leftovers. If people of today with political correctness heard  Jesus had called a foreigner woman and her daughter a dog, it would be all over the news or on an interview by Oprah. Unlike sensitive or easily offended people, this woman who loved her daughter would lower herself and be called a dog so that her daughter be heal from demons. The devil doesn’t only attack Christians, he knows God loves everyone equally. When a person like this Syrophoenician woman, who knows Jesus is the Son of God, throws themselves at Jesus’s feet and asked to be healed. Jesus will see your faith in Him is very strong,   He then heals your lost soul. If your faith feeling low or if you feel downcast, ( depressed ) if your god-shaped hole in your heart needs to fill up full overflowing unstoppable joy, ask Jesus for the bread crumbs of His holy bread. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel Jerry Head

Ecclesiastes 9:4 For whoever is joined to all the living, there is hope; for better a live dog, than a dead lion.
