Luke 1:13-16 Don’t Doubt God’s Promises

Luke 1:13-16

16 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John.13 But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zacharias, for your petition has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you will give him the name John. 14 You will have joy and gladness, and many will rejoice at his birth.15 For he will be great in the sight of the Lord; and he will drink no wine or liquor, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit while yet in his mother’s womb. 16 And he will turn many of the sons of Israel back to the Lord their God.

Just like most husbands’ wives, Zacharias and Elizabeth never stop praying for a little bundle of joy to grow up around the house. Both parents give their child, their wisdom and knowledge. Elizabeth wanted a mama’s little boy and Zacharias wanted a son to teach him about Lord, he work for. While it was time for Zacharias was performing his duty as a priest, an angel reveal that Lord had answered him and his wife’s endless prayers. And with another blessing added to that, Zacharias’ son would turn the children of God, back to the Lord. If you have a son or daughter you should thank God for your blessing and to those who adopted children who aren’t their own but raise them with the same amount of love.
