John 3:11

 Truly, truly, I say to you; we speak of what we know and testify of what we have seen, and you people do not accept our testimony.

When I gave my life to Christ, my pastor at the time was Randy Davis. He told me the Biblical teaching of the trinity (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) is too spiritual for the human mind to understand. But that is why Jesus is explaining to Nicodemus, starting with the phrase, truly. When Jesus says truly, truly, or as another English version of the Holy Bible would say, Verily, verily, Surely Surely I am telling the truth. Jesus tells Nicodemus, we speak of what we know and what we have seen, and yet you reject our testimony. So many Christians reject the Biblical teaching of the trinity and those who believe in the gift of tongues are those types of Christians. The Oneness Pentecostalism is a Christian denomination that is more born of the flesh and hard born of spirit than any other Christian church. The Pentecostal reject there is a trinity proclaiming it false doctrine. They believe names like Father, the Son or Spirit are just different titles, the Lord begets. Many like the old English term Holy Ghost because a ghost is a visible form of spiritual being. In the original Hebrew texts of the Holy Bible, God has names like Yahweh, El Shadday, El Elyon, and Adonay. Nicodemus would have known the name Elohim is plural, which is a plural name for God. Genesis chapter 1 proves to us, the Spirit of God is the invisible force of God in action.

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning Elohim created heaven and earth. 2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Ruach Elohim was hovering over the water. 3 Then Elohim said, “Let there be light!” So, there was light. 4 Elohim saw the Light was good. So, Elohim separated the Light from the darkness. 5 Elohim named the light day, and the darkness he named night. There was evening, then morning the first day.

Denying the trinity exists means one would have to twist parts of scripture and even misinterpret it. Denying that God said in Genesis chapter 1 in verses 26 and 27, let Us make man in Our image, both male and female. Denying the fact God the Father and the Spirit were all present when John the Baptist baptized Jesus. Denying the Biblical fact, they heard a voice from heaven saying, “This is My Son, I Am well pleased, listen to Him’; (Matthew 3:17, Matthew 17:5). Denying the words of Christ, telling His disciples to baptize all in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; (Matthew 28:19). When we twist God’s word to suit our own personal beliefs. We are not truly born again; we are changing God’s word so that we can add personal understanding to them. Truly, Truly, Verily, verily, Surely, and Surely, I will tell you the truth, when we do, we are lying a prophetic lie. God bless you all; the Lord Jesus loves you, so do I.
