John 1:31-34 Know His Pleasing Spiritual Voice

John 1:31-34

31 I did not recognize him as the Messiah, but I have been baptizing with water so that he might be revealed to Israel.” 32 Then John testified, “I saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove from heaven and resting upon him. 33 I didn’t know he was the one, but when God sent me to baptize with water, he told me, ‘The one on whom you see the Spirit descend and rest is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’ 34 I saw this happen to Jesus, so I testify that he is the Chosen One of God.”

As a child of God, I love going to a house of worship, and I have been to many types of churches of different denominations. Even if I do not agree with their doctrine, I still receive a blessing and learn something. From Methodist, Baptist, Pentecostal, Messianic Jew, and Seventh Day Adventist, I heard the pastor of each say that the congregation should bring their Bibles to church, This, my brothers and sisters, is good advice.  The same goes for watching worship on tv, a YouTube channel, listening to radio programs, podcasts, or even watching a Christian movie. Each pastor I heard say this said, I want you to know that what I say is what God’s word says, and if you do not have Bible or do not know it, you can be deceived. YouTube videos can be the worst or, like a religious person on social media, preaches on what they know or believe, and may not even be biblical truth. As I have been reading and studying about John the Baptist, a few videos will ask if John knew Jesus since they were cousins, but the answer to that question is in John 1: 31-33. John the Baptist clearly says, “I did not recognize Him, and I have never seen Him before.” Many of us do not know God or His Son is without reading the Bible. Many people trust Satanic lies about scripture but are not even biblical. God’s voice heard in John 1:33 was like the Holy Bible, inaudible sound. When John the Baptist baptized Jesus, the heavens opened up, the Holy Spirit anointed Jesus and a voice from heaven was saying, “This is My Son, I am well pleased,” (Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:11 and Luke 3:22). When reading God’s word, it is like listening to His audible voice. When you or I obey His voice, His Spirit will move in you. By staying a humble, meek person, willing to do God’s will and obey His word, then you and He will be incredibly pleased, pleased indeed. God bless you all. Jesus the Messiah knows you. His bondservant. Samuel Head.

1 Corinthians 2:12 And we have received God’s Spirit (not the world’s spirit), so we can know the wonderful things God has freely given us. 13 When we tell you these things, we do not use words that come from human wisdom. Instead, we speak words given to us by the Spirit, using the Spirit’s words to explain spiritual truths. 14 But people who aren’t spiritual can’t receive these truths from God’s Spirit. It all sounds foolish to them and they can’t understand it, for only those who are spiritual can understand what the Spirit means. 15 Those who are spiritual can evaluate all things, but they themselves cannot be evaluated by others. 16 For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts? Who knows enough to teach him? “But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.
