John 1:29 I Will Have My Lamb, Well Done
When I started blogging a few years ago, it was just a hobby to share my personal Bible study and what I learned from eating my daily bread. However, the more I read and study, I realize too many Christians and Churches teach God’s word incorrectly. Too many are trying to put physical understanding to spiritual words. The Lord is telling me, Samuel, to teach the spiritual truth of His word because too many people are spiritually blind. Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Yet many Christians seem to believe ancient Jews and modern Jews are God’s chosen people. There is more belief that extra mercy will be given to Jews who reject Christ as the Messiah, and while one group of believers is rapture away. Jews get an extra grace period to believe and accept that Jesus is the way, and the truth, and the life; and a way to the Father. This kind of teaching and belief reminds me of recess time or P.E. in the school playground. The kids would decide to play a game of baseball, softball, football, kickball, or soccer. Two kids would be selected as team captains, and they each take turns picking who will be on their team. They usually pick their best friends or talented players first, then save the less talented kids for last. Sometimes, the last child who many thoughts were less talented that was picked, will score the game-winning point and become the team hero, and the kid gets grace from the other team members. The Lamb of God can only remove the sins of those who accept Jesus as their payment and forgiveness for their sins. It is like a prisoner who is locked behind bars. He or she receives a pardon, and the jail cell gate is wide open, and the prisoner does not want to leave because they feel too guilty. All four gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, were full of words that say the Jews reject Jesus as the Messiah and Son of God over and over. They even demanded His death on the cross. I enjoy quoting Psalm chapter 23 a lot, an Old Testament book that was written in Hebrew. The Lord is my Shepherd, and I shall not want. Therefore, my salvation and all my blessings come from God, my Shepherd. He prepares a table of grace for me and my enemies, and whoever hungers for righteousness will eat, and the meal is the Lamb of God. Those who accept the Lord as their Shepherd will partake of eating the Lamb of God. Only those who accept the Lord as their Shepherd will be forgiven because they accept God’s Lamb, and that is how they dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Surely the Lamb of God has taken away your sins, but have you accepted Him? On judgment day, will you be eating at the table of grace, or an enemy of God, on the outside looking in? Repent my brothers and sisters, for the kingdom of God, is at hand. God bless you all. The Lamb of God loves you, and so do I. A bondservant of His, Samuel H.
