John 1:12-13 Family Of God’s Will
The gospel of John chapter 1 is like Genesis chapter 1 and says Jesus was in the beginning of creation with God. By His name, the Word, everything was created, and that goes for humans as well. In the beginning, God didn’t create Jews, Christians, Muslims, or even Hindus. God simply said, Let Us make man in Our image, male and female.” And In Genesis chapter 2, God used the same mouth He used to speak the Words, “Let there be Light, “Father God gave humanity, the breath of life.
Since all men and women were made in God’s image, who are His children, Jews, Christians, Buddha, or Muslims? John 1:12-13 says those who believe in the name of Jesus, the Light of the world, and live by His Word. John, who wrote the gospel of John, says there is no such thing as being born as a natural son or daughter of God. It has never been that way, nor will it ever be. When I was born, my mother and father named me Samuel Jerry Head. For sure, I was made in the image of God, but I was also bits and pieces of my father Jerry, and mother, Patricia. Both my parents taught me what acceptable behavior is, as their son and in their house. The spirit of sin I was born with, led me to want to do what seemed right in my own eyes. My parents would learn of my bad behavior, would remind me, you are my son, and when you misbehave, you make us look bad. At home, that is important, but away from home, that is even more important. Going to grandparents, shopping, out to eat, or church, my mother and father wanted the best behavior. If I was unruly or had unacceptable behavior, I would embarrass my mom and dad. Jesus was the Word, and He is the Word, the Holy Immanuel. He came to be God with Us and the Holy living breathing Word of God; He is the whole Bible. Before His birth, the man and woman God made only had the holy words they heard or read, never truly in the flesh or physical action. When Jesus said in Matthew 5:17, think not I come to abolish the law or the words the prophets wrote but to fulfill them. Jesus continues to say in verse 18, that not one jot or tittle of the law would pass away until heaven and earth pass away, that means when Jesus was born to be God with us, He was fulfilling God’s promise and being the Word God and to show how to live by God’s Word. Jesus didn’t just heal Jews. He healed Roman soldier’s servants; he conversed with a Samaritan woman, who had many lovers but still offered Her the everlasting water. He shows mercy to the naked woman who was caught in the act of prostitution; she called Him Lord, and He said, go for I condemn you not, sin no more. The will of God is life and love by His Word and, live like His Son, Jesus Christ. God bless you all; the Word loves you, and so do I. Samuel.
