James 3:3 My Tongue Stumbles Like A Wild Horse
We can make a large horse go wherever we want by means of a small bit in its mouth
My big mouth really stumbled big time tonight, like the spirit of a wild horse. It is funny how I decide how to prepare my daily devotional, that something happens at the time to help to explain the scripture. Tonight me and my mom went shopping and I was standing in the parking lot and was gonna place something in my mom’s vehicle. When my mom pulled up beside me, a lady in the vehicle behind her, started blowing her horn and started yelling to get out of my way, and other things I can’t repeat. Then I calmed down and she began cussing at me, and my wild horse spirit blew up. But not so bad, I calmly laid my item on the ground and walked to the lady’s vehicle and with her family in the car, I said you got a problem with my mom you have to solve it with me. Like a boxer ready to go when the bell rings she opens her car door and says let’s go. My eyes saw red, my heart beat was I really don’t want to get in a fight with a woman, but this lady didn’t talk what I was taught what a lady is supposed to talk, but I was backing down. As soon as she opened her door, the thought entered my mind to kick her door shut and show I was no punk kid, but I don’t know what happened but she got back in her car, and my mom said forget about her and pick up that $200 laptop you put on the ground. Thank God for my mom, and the thoughts in my head do i really wanna go to fight with a lady, even if she has a bad attitude and fast to get angry. Even if the lady and her family didn’t know I was Christian, who knows what would have happened if wild tongues gave more spirit to an evil action that could have taken place. The Lord is like a horse whisperer, He can take someone whose spirit is broken, and tell them surrender your will to Him and be directed by His Holy Spirit. The more we struggle and buck like a wild horse the less we learn of His way to behave like our old stubborn self. I had some self control not to throw down a $200 computer, but not enough to get into a violent fight. I would like to ask you to keep me in your prayers, to ask the Lord to help me to have more of His Spirit and for me to be more like a horse in an equestrian sport event. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel H
