James 1:1 Salvation Has A Name

James 1:1

James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings.

Epistle of James is a letter written to the Jewish Christian, who were dispersed outside Israel or as James wrote scattered. Now the New Living Translation of the English Bible says Jewish believers and the Amplified Bible says To the twelve [Hebrew] tribes [scattered abroad among the Gentiles]. Who are the twelve tribes of Israel is physical or spiritual, the word of God can answer this question, with a sentence written out by how the twelve names of the order in Revelation 7:4-8.

Revelation 7:4 And I heard the number of those who were sealed: 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel: 5 from the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand were sealed, from the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand, from the tribe of Gad twelve thousand, 6 from the tribe of Asher twelve thousand, from the tribe of Naphtali twelve thousand, from the tribe of Manasseh twelve thousand, 7 from the tribe of Simeon twelve thousand, from the tribe of Levi twelve thousand, from the tribe of Issachar twelve thousand, 8 from the tribe of Zebulun twelve thousand, from the tribe of Joseph twelve thousand, and from the tribe of Benjamin, twelve thousand were sealed.

The twelve sons and grandson are not written in the order they were born in the rest of scripture and some may look at it and say no big deal, but the Lord of God always has a reason for something we may overlook. Hebrew names usually have a meaning, like one of Jacob’s son’s means “Son of His right hand” and he is the youngest  Benjamin. Now a real Bible scholar would have to go back and forth from Revelation to Genesis to get the meaning of each name and write it down, and when one does, there is prophecy in it.

I will praise the Lord, He has looked on me granted good fortune, happy am I  my wrestling making me to forget God hears me joined to me purchased Me dwelling God will add to me Son of His right hand

Now this sentence might not make one get a good grade with a English teacher, but it does state the promise of God which is part of prophecy. Yes we give praise to the Lord, cause He gives me good fortune by the riches of His grace and richness of His love. When I wrestle with myself and struggle, in the end when I feel broken, He hears and answers  my prayers. Because the debt of my sins cause me so much to do nothing I can do to earn or gain a place into the kingdom of heaven or into a relationship with God who created me. The God of Jacob doesn’t give me what I deserve, because of His unfailing love, He pays for my salvation and for a right to have a dwelling place in His heavenly kingdom. He does all this by the meaning of names of the tribe of Israel, He gives me and adds His Son’s name to your’s and my salvation. God bless you all, the Lord the Redeemer loves you and so do I, His bondservant. Samuel H

Psalm 98:1 Sing a new song to the Lord, for He has done wonderful things, His right hand and His holy arm have gained victory for Him. 2 The Lord has made His salvation known; He has revealed His righteousness in the sight of the nations. 3 He has remembered His graciousness and His faithfulness to the house of Israel; All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
