Galatians 5:22

 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

The word Peace appears in the Holy Bible 353 times. Peace was with Adam and Eve in the beginning. They knew no worries; the Lord was their provider of all they needed, even everlasting life. They were naked, but they didn’t know it or what shame was. A real shame and nudity happened when our sins pushed God away to do what is right in our own eyes. When Adam and Eve disobey God, sin enters the world, and they were made to leave the paradise of God’s garden. The kind animals were now wild, the pleasant weather, now and still isn’t. Adam and Eve had two sons, but the older son killed the younger, so the Peace of watching brothers growing up in a happy family was gone. The Lord, sen Cain away from, to wander like a vagabond, never having any peace. Cain complained to God, Your punishment, oh God, is more than I can bear.

Genesis 4:13 Cain said to the Lord, “My punishment is too great to endure! 14 Behold, You have driven me this day from the face of the ground; and I will be hidden from Your face, and I will be a wanderer and a drifter on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.” 

We were made in the image of God, disobedience causes disruptions within our Spirit, and Peace and chaos can’t coexist. God wants a Father and child type relationship with His creation. Still, when we are rebellious, we rejected God’s image, like our own. 

Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation: 16 for by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominions, or rulers, or authorities—all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.  

There is no peace movement without God. There will never be any order without the image of God in our hearts and desires. Peace doesn’t happen when we behave like mad or evil like demons who want revenge; Evil just continues. 

Proverbs 17:13 Whoever rewards evil for good, Evil will not depart from his house.

If you and I want peace, be peaceful.  like Jesus, if you and I want mercy, show mercy like Jesus.  If you and I want love, show love like Jesus. Be like Jesus, the Prince of Peace, and not like the Devil the prince of darkness. I want peace in my heart today and forevermore. God bless you, Jesus loves you and so do I, Samuel J H.
