The word Joy appears in the Holy Bible 211 times, not as much as love which appears 484 times, but that doesn’t make it any less of fruit. As a follower of Christ, it is important to show the world, your family, and your friend, you and I can be in a state of joy, no matter what. The definition of joy is a feeling of great pleasure and happiness. The biblical definition of joy is a be content in all parts of life.
Philippians 4:11 Not that I speak from need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.
A Christian spiritual heart knows God has a way thing prepare for them, even if you or I live on this physical world, the holy word of God, teaches about true paradise, where the spirit of joy never goes away. All humans can have joy, but when life gets difficult, a person might start complaining about how the situation in life, is too hard to experience. When the COVID-19 pandemic started and the lockdown was put into action, many people were upset. I was Facebook and saw a post made on a local baptist church Facebook page, that was made by the pastor’s wife. She was complaining that it was unfair that the United States military forces were having graduation ceremonies and that her youngest daughter wasn’t allowed to have hers, so she could receive her diploma in public. When I saw it, I replied with Bible verses, and a few minutes later, she was upset, her husband who is the church pastor was upset, and asking how dare I, put that Bible verse to reply to his wife.
Philippians 2:14 Do all things without complaining or arguments;
I and the Pastor were exchanging some words back and forth, and he was very angry. Saying If I was a man of God, I would have never insulted his wife in such a matter, when I only replied with scripture. In the NKJV the same verse says to do all things without complaining or disputing, Philippians 2:14 Do all things without complaining and disputing, so this pastor was disputing with me and me showing his wife, that scripture says do not complain. I just said I was sorry, and he did too, but I know pastors and their wives are only human, but if the leaders of the church, show they lose joy when life is hard, how can the congregation. Joy on the faces and in the heart of Christians is like letting the light of Jesus shine. When others see your joy, they may ask, how can they have what you have. Tell them, I have the joy of Jesus, deep way down in my heart, do you wanna hear about Jesus? The joy that comes from the Holy Spirit is good medicine, medicine the removes anxiety, worry, sorrow, and makes all children of God, very happy, happy indeed.
