Galatians 5:17-21 The Flesh Give A Temporary Purpose
It seems the goal in life is to have happiness, to give love, receive love, experience love & to have a life full of lot & never feel down & depressed. The Spirit has given their life to Christ, have happiness that from now they are loved & to know the true meaning of life, is too personal. I will show you the meaning of life, from the word of God;
Revelation 4:11 “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.”
A person that doesn’t have a desire to serve their Creator, cause they are far from the Spirit, so they try the meaning of life, by providing happiness & salvation for themselves by feeding their flesh. The deeds of the flesh written in this Bible provide temporary high & empty, believe me, I used to chase these desires of the flesh & it was only when I felt like I still felt empty after I got what I wanted. I remember going to a Super Bowl party once, with most of my co-workers, & it was very wild. The host of the party went all out to provide an awesome party, he even pet the baby alligators . We were all told to bring our own booze, & many bought illegal drugs, there was a spread of all kinds of food, so everything looked groovy. I didn’t plan on getting too, drunk so i drank something called trash can punch, I thought it was innocent, but hardly did i know it was stronger than anything there & eating the fruit in that had soak up all the alcohol from the booze & simply increase what this Bible passage calls drunkenness & carousing. Someone told me a girl was hitting on me & I told them I didn’t care so I was so drunk & high. The Super Bowl game i went to go see, i totally forgot it was on tv & there was tv in every room.The party got so out of hand, when food ran out, people were raiding the host’s refrigerator & eating whatever they found, even raw hamburger meat, the girl had ask me “this make me sick” & i said “yes’ but i just went hungry cause i was never that drunk. After the game was over & i don’t know who won & I can’t remember who played. The host said I spent the night because I was too drunk to drive him, so I just crashed. When I woke up feeling like crap & smelling bad, I had learned I was sleeping on a dog blanket. When i went to work , I felt horrible & my coworkers looked horrible also, & we thank God, the restaurant is slow on Monday. It took me some time that by living that , to learn I was never happy in that lifestyle, the temporary high was over, if i found a girl, she would leave & found someone else. All these empty things become like idols’ worship, because they take the attention from our Creator. The liquor stores say they sell spirits, & they do provide a temporary drunken high, but most of the time you will end up paying tribute to the porcelain throne. I am glad I gave up that empty lifestyle & chasing temporary gods, cause scripture tells me & you, if we are led by the Spirit of the Lord, that lifestyle leads to the Kingdom of God.
