Galatians 4:1-3 The Law of God Is For Kids
When a child is growing, they usually feel like mom & dad, very hard & strict parents. Good parents, give their children guidance & direction. I remember once when I was a young child, my mom told me not to touch the stove while she was cooking. My young eyes, saw a cherry red stove burner was attractive, I reached up to touch & when I did touch it, it hurt like hell & pulled my hand back very fast & started to cry. My mom told me, she said, “I told you not to touch the stove, but then gave me some cream to & gave me loving words to help me forget the pain. God’s Laws is for young children growing up to be adults one day, & it teaches us what our Father God thinks will keep us happy, safe & alive. When a child disobeys the parent rules, correct is always near, no one likes punishment, the child receiving punishment & the parent giving. The definition of tough love is this; an expression used when someone treats another person harshly or sternly with the intent to help them in the long run. That is the purpose of the Father God Law, it is to help His children in the long run. Just like good parents who prepare their children, for our parents & God’s will be having them walk with us through a valley of shadow & death life, Even with our good Father by our side. He is like a Good Shepherd, He carries a rod, to beat away wild animals, & to smack me His child, to keep me by His side or pull me back into His fold, if i feel going astray. And just as a child of loving parents, I have their name & if I follow my Shepherd the God’s name, if I misbehave & not represent Him, I make His name look terrible.
Psalm 23:3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I fear no evil, for You are with me;Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
As a child growing up, I felt my parents rules were rules of the house were restricting & I remember telling my rules how my life felt being a slave & couldn’t wait to grow up & have my own personal freedom. But sometimes as I get older I think to myself, I thank God, for my parent’s tough love, cause my mother’s & father’s guidance may have kept me out of prison or getting hurt or no life at all, even. In tomorrow’s devotional lesson, I will show you how the Lord God sent someone to free me from the oppression of His law & make me a full grown adult but still identify myself as a son or child of the Lord God. God bless you all, the Lord loves you & so do I. Sam H.
Romans 6:18 and having been freed from sin, you became slaves of righteousness. 19 I am speaking in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves to impurity and to lawlessness, resulting in further lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, resulting in sanctification.20 For when you were slaves of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
