Acts 23:6-9 Resurrection is on Trial

Acts 23:6-9

6  But perceiving that one group were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, Paul began crying out in the Council, “Brethren, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees; I am on trial for the hope and resurrection of the dead!” 7 As he said this, there occurred a dissension between the Pharisees and Sadducees, and the assembly was divided. 8 For the Sadducees say that there is no resurrection, nor an angel, nor a spirit, but the Pharisees acknowledge them all. 9 And there occurred a great uproar; and some of the scribes of the Pharisaic party stood up and began to argue heatedly, saying, “We find nothing wrong with this man; suppose a spirit or an angel has spoken to him?”

The major debate between the Sadducee and Pharisees was resurrection or a permanent dirt nap. The Sadducee were very liberal about scripture and the priest of Sadducee have trusted and experience. The Pharisees were more conservative and believe there was a resurrection. Many people, as long as creation, had want life, rather then death, do you know why, because scripture says the living have hope;

Ecclesiastes 9:For whoever is joined with all the living, there is hope; surely a live dog is better than a dead lion.

The trial may about Paul’s guiltiness, but the two big religious leaders (Sadducee & Pharisees) wanna prove who the big dog in Jerusalem. The two groups believe they put Jesus to death , but there remains a open tomb and Jesus body was gone. There are numerous scripture about resurrection in the New Testament, but what about scripture in the Old Testament, let’s ask scripture;

Job 14:14 “If a man dies, will he live again?All the days of my struggle I will wait Until my change comes.

Job knew he was gonna die, it’s a given wage to disobedience & sin. So Is there resurrection, & God’s saints will rise up out of your their graves, let’s ask scripture & not religious leaders & preachers.

Job 19:26-27 “Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God;27 Whom I myself shall behold, and whom my eyes will see and not another.My heart faints within me!

God didn’t not design death, at creation, but before Adam & Eve sin & bought death into the world , the Lord God, had already way out permanent death , when God’s children accept Jesus. King David, wrote, the Lord will not let his soul in the Sheol (grave) . My friends, accepting Jesus as God’s Son, is the only way to resurrection, & resurrection means a physical body, not something invisible, if you need to know how to contact me; (704-300-3377) & ( samm9729@gmail.com). Psalm 16:9-10 Therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices; My flesh also will dwell securely.10 For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol;Nor will You allow Your Holy One to undergo decay.
