Acts 19:23-27 Your God or Your Idol
When a person gives him or herself to the Lord, the Spirit will move you to help you to leave your previous life of sin. For some people, it might be difficult to trust in God, when their occupation or job, and when someone’s income is being affected. The Gospel of John 8 a woman is caught in the act of adultery, her occupation is prostitution, when the mob wants to stone her to death , Jesus say, no one is without sin, when it just the woman and Jesus, and He has saved her from death , He tells her to go and sin , no more;
A man who was a member of The Way Church, may not have been a adulterous prostitute, but his profession was using his art skills to make idol worshippers and in Scripture, the Bible says adultery and idolatry is the same thing, cause if you can be unfaithful to your spouse you can be unfaithful to God;
Romans 2:22 You who say that one should not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples?
If your occupation you work, all of a sudden goes against the word of God, it can cause problems. I used to have a job where I was required to work on the Sabbath. It could be okay so some people do whatever it takes to put food on the table and pay bills. If you put your life in the Lord’s hand & if you trust Him, He will provide for you to live your life. Just like the famous Psalm 23:1 says, If the Lord is your Shepherd you will not want cause He will provide for you. God bless you, Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel H
