James 3:7-9 Subdue Our Animal Behavior
James is not holding back in his letter to the believers of the Lord, for his time and all throughout history, he says mankind. Mankind has the ability to tame wild animals of all types but you and I cannot tame ourselves in words and often in actions. It really doesn’t take a genius that observes the action of animal kingdom to that of mankind to understand just how stupid we can behave. Wild animals will do their best to protect and maintain their habitat , where they live, raise them young, get food, and get shelter from the elements like rain or snow. Mankind on the other hand is destroying this world not only for itself, but for the animal kingdom as well. Big oil tankers will run aground and leak oil all over the shoreline, birds and fish suffer. Visitors to the beaches and people on ships will toss trash in the ocean, and the sea will get stuck in plastic. Mankind will lose his or her temper and will do damage in their own community, causing disasters to their workplace, and place where they get their own food. Mankind even has factories that make and store nuclear energy and they have meltdowns, which makes the whole area inhabitat for many years. If lion tamer can make what we call a maneater not wanna eat him, or a snake charmer make a cobra dance and let the charmer kiss the snake forehead, or make pigeons delivery messages or even make dolphins or orcas (killer whale) give a crowd entertainment, why can’t have self-control on the small muscle of our mouths.
The book of Genesis chapter 1 tells the readers of His word, God made man and women in His likeness, and He even told us to rule over them, we demonstrate some many times, we slip up more and cause more deadly damage then those we are supposed to subdue. Dear brothers and sisters, speaking to myself more, let’s ask more of the Holy Spirit’s presence in our lives, hearts and the tongues of mouth to show and speak more of the glory of God our Creator. God bless you all, the Lord loves you and so do I. Samuel H
