The Creator of heaven and earth gave us eyes to see and ears to hear, but Israel refused to use their senses of sight and sounds, seeing & hearing was not proof enough. So the Lord gave them the spirit of stupor, I didn’t know what that word meant when I first read it to my brother in Christ. I thought it was similar to being stupid, but it not being stupid. Stupor means to be greatly dull or completely suspended, sometimes people will call a drunken stupor, cause a drunk will not walk upright and do stuff a total conscious wouldn’t do. When i study Scripture, it not exactly God that give a spirit of stupor with big smile on His face and make Him feel warm all over. Let me show you another scripture where God gave someone what they truly desire; This passage shows us, the Lord is like a good Father, when a child wants something His son or daughter wants. If a son or a daughter has witnessed their Father’s love & care & are not happy & they ask to leave, He lets them leave or gives them over the life they desire. It wasn’t the Father’s fault His children were stupor, He showed them love, He gave them a place to eat, sleep, stay out of the elements, He taught the rules of the house & He just wanted respect & love in return. But when hearts are hard or stupor,no amount of love shown will make a child realize they are simply loved for just being a product of love. The child only loves themselves & has only blinders on the eyes of their heart. The great news is if a child someday misses the love of his or her Father, He is at home looking out staring in the direction where His son or daughter walk away in. If someday we as a prodigal son or daughter wanna go back home & tell our Father how stupor or stupid we were, He says it’s okay, I still love you and embraces with a big hug and squeeze tightly and says welcome back home. Dear Heavenly Father, please forgive me and others when we are stupor. Please forgive us when we are stubborn, Please forgive us for loving our families or ourselves more than You. Let those who worship today on this Sabbath day rest, have a good worship. Even if we are not in the same building. One day when will you return, we will worship together as brothers & sisters in Christ. Thank You Lord or hearing my prayer, in Your Son’s holy name; Amen. God bless you . Sam H.
1 Corinthians 15:34 Become sober-minded as you ought, and stop sinning; for some have no knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
