Matthew 7:28-29 Amen!! What A Great Sermon, I Feel Blessed!!
Jesus finished the sermon on the mount that is written in Matthew 5, 6 & 7. I know when I hear a good sermon, I like to say loud amen, and this passage says the crowds were amazed at Jesus’ teachings. I can imagine every man, woman & even some little ones just listening and amazing at the words that escape Jesus’ mouth. Jesus was speaking in the great outdoors and thousands heard Him without any help of the modern technology of speakers, microphones or any kind amplifications. Jesus teaches & preaches like no ones, with authority and rightly so, the Holy Bible tells us Jesus is the word.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Usually a pastor will pray asking for the Spirit of the Lord to direct his words, so that the congregation will hear Jesus’ words and not the church pastor. Many people during Jesus ministry time in the Gospels were drawn to His teachers, one of them was a scribe.
John 3:1-2 Now there was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews; 2 this man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, “Rabbi, we know that You have come from God as a teacher; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him.”
I really enjoyed studying , learning and teaching the sermon on the mount, which is what Christianity calls the greatest sermon ever preached. John Wesley called Matthew 5, “the sum of all true religion”, where Jesus taught His word is everlasting you and I can be truly blessed if we live meek ways of our Savior. Matthew 6 teaches we should seek God’s kingdom first, to make our relationship real with our Heavenly Father and not a hypocrisy & when we ask for gifts made for it will further the Lord’s kingdom of the human race. Matthew 7 says all humanity is God’s creation, but those who do His word will be the only ones to make it no narrow road that leads to near gates. Matthew 5:3-12 might be labeled the beatitudes, but I believe all the sermon on the mount can be a blessing if people live by the teachings of Jesus Christ. Amen!! God bless you all, the Lord Jesus Christ loves you and so do I. Sam H.
