Matthew 7:15-20 Beware of Rotten Fruit

This Bible passage with the sermon on the mount is talking about false prophets, but many people don’t know what a prophet is. So I will teach you what a prophet is. The definition of prophet : an individual who has contact with a divine being. The word of God called Abraham a prophet, even if not many see him that way, God called him a prophet. (Genesis 20:7) Abraham heard God’s voice, Abraham told others what the Lord said, he was hearer & a messenger of God, a prophet. The Old Testament is full of true & false prophets & tells us how to identify them, just like Jesus says we will know them by their fruits. Deuteronomy 13 gives the reader of God’s word what the fruits of a good prophet & false is.

A prophet of the Lord, would never tell anyone to serve another God or break His commandments, even if the prophet’s vision came true. This kind of false prophet fruit is not ripe but fully rotten & he serves another master if not Satan but him/herself. Only a person knows the word of God & His holy commandment what good & bad fruit is. Earlier today me & mom was gathering fruit & veggies out of the garden. I really don’t have a green thumb, but when I saw a bad tomato that looked like it had been eaten by something or rotten, I threw it away. The Lord God wants you to do the same with any false prophet you may hear. Throw their words of lies away, & don’t behave like they say behave. The only person who listens to false prophets is a person who likes what the prophet says. The Lord will throw that person aside also, if he or she never really listens to God’s true prophet. My dear brothers & sister, do yourself a favor read God’s word & learn what true fruits are of God’s prophets, preachers & teachers. His word says to come & taste & see that God that His word is good,Psalm 34:8.  I promise I teach what is true, but I am no prophet or pastor, I call myself a teacher & I don’t even know if I qualify as that, but that is what I do & I enjoy it. God bless you all. The Lord loves you & so do I. Sam H.

Amos 7:14 Then Amos answered, and said to Amaziah:“I was no prophet, Nor was I a son of a prophet, But I was a sheep breeder And a tender of sycamore fruit. 15 Then the Lord took me ]as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me, ‘Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’
