Romans 8:1-4 From Guilt to Grace

Romans 8:1-4

1 Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.

When I saw (Romans 8:1-4), I was wondering how or if, I could teach what this passage of how those who are in Christ, will have no condemnation. How we are free from the law of sin & of death, but then how a Christian is not supposed to walk in the flesh but according to the Spirit. This topic can be very confusing to a non-believer & also a believer. The Lord shows where (Romans 8:1-4) can be explained. In (John 8:1-11), a prostitute is dragged into the center of a courtyard where Jesus had been preaching. She has been caught in the middle of adultery & not wearing much or if anything & according to the letter of the law, she deserves death.

Leviticus 20:10 ‘If there is a man who commits adultery with another man’s wife, one who commits adultery with his friend’s wife, the adulterer and the adulteress shall surely be put to death.

All the people are standing around the woman & Jesus, they all knew God’s law and the punishment of sin. The crowd calls Jesus Teacher and tells Jesus the prostitute deserves to die, for her disobedience of God’s Word. Then the Son of God, tells the crowd, who have stones in their hands ready to pass judgment on the guilty prostitute, His verdict the woman and the crowd.

John 8:7 But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.”

From the youngest dude who is easy to admit he is guilty of sin, to the oldest of dudes who is stubborn but his hearts knows he is a sinner and he probably was with the woman or lust after her. Here comes the part where if a person is in Christ he/she has no condemnation. When Jesus & the woman are left alone, Jesus asks her a question; one by one drop their rocks to the ground.

John 8:10 Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?”

I like to stop here and say the most popular scripture in the world is this is the most popular scripture in the world;

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.

With the prostitute’s answer, she doesn’t call Him Teacher like the angry crowd, she calls Him Lord, she knows Jesus is God’s Son & has no more condemnation, but Jesus tells the newly saved from death from the latter of the law, Go & sin no more, He didn’t say just a little bit cause you are saved by grace, but He simply says Go and Sin no more.

John 8:11 No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.

Dearly beloved if you wanna be free from condemnation, not worry about  the crowd calling you a sinner or from Devil or doubt from yourself , be like the adulterous woman, recognize Jesus as your Lord and Savior & accept His forgiveness of sin. God bless you all , Happy Sabbath, keep yourself safe and yourselves ready for Jesus soon coming.

John 3:17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
