Matthew 5:25-26 Fixing Mistakes
Making friends with someone you have wrong or they have wrong you is something only the word of God tells us to do. A follower of the Lord should be different when she or he has done some wrong against someone, they will have guilt within them & want to make corrections between both parties. But a non-believer on the other hand, is only concerned if the matter is being pressed by the opponent or if they get caught red handed. Jesus wants us to work out the difference we have with anyone, even if isn’t our fault. If you are like me or most people we come from a dysfunctional family &* conflict can form within a household. I have famous tv court shows, like People’s Court or Judge Judy & see, parents sued children, brother against sister, maybe if we could sue ourselve we would do that. But in the same the Gospel of Matthew Jesus says to settle wrong doing with each other & we can gain a church member also;
As Christian we say follow Christ & we love like Him, we forgive like Him, we don’t hold grudges like Him. If we can’t do these things like Him or have His characteristics, which are in the beatitudes, we are not true followers of Jesus. Winning souls into the kingdom of God is job & duty, pushing our enemies into hell is not our duty. As funny as it may seem, some so-called Christians get joy in his or her heart that this or that person is in hell. I remember being on social media the day after Hugh Hefner died, the founder of Playboy magazine. People were posting & laughing , ‘Well we know Hugh is suffering in hell right now, ‘. A good Christian friend of mine said, ‘We as Christian should never celebrate someone is in hell, the Lord loved that person, but that person did not love God.’ If you are a person who is vengeful in your heart, or doesn’t wanna patch up a sin of your past with someone, y0u will not be welcome into the kingdom of heaven. God bless you, the Lord Jesus loves you & so do I. Sam H.
Ezekiel 18:31 Cast away from you all your transgressions which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! For why will you die, O house of Israel? 32 For I have no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies,” declares the Lord God. “Therefore, repent and live.”
