Zechariah 4:6-7 The True Superhero’s Power
DC has Superman & Marvel has The Incredible Hulk, both very strong characters in the comic book universe. They both were created by creative artists & storytellers, they both have weaknesses. The Hulk is only strong when he is angry & Superman loses his strength when near kryptonite. Zechariah says the Spirit of the Lord is better than might & power. From 1 Samuel 17 will you read about the Spirit of God at work. There is a battle scene between Israel & Philistines, a giant Philistine step forward & he is heavily armored & he challenges the army of Israel, they were all afraid. A small shepherd boy named David, accepts the giants challenge, only armed with a sling & stones. When giant sees David he laugh & mocks him, but David replies with confidence,
When David releases the stone from his sling, the Spirit of God directs it to hit the giant in his forehead & he falls to the earth. David then slowly walked to the giant’s, took the giant’s sword & cut off his head. Many times in Scripture, God will use a weak & small person to win many great battles. Dear brothers & sisters, don’t give praise to the replacement gods of marvel & DC, praise the Holy Spirit of God. Let the Lord be your hero & you will never be disappointed. God bless you all, the Lord Jesus loves you & so do I. Sam H.
Isaiah 40:29 He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power.
