Matthew 5:1-2 Jesus Preaches Blessings
The Gospel of Matthew chapters 5 began by telling the students of God’s word, that a large crowd is following Jesus. So He stopped in His track, sat down on that top of mountain, began to teach what the Christian world the best sermon ever heard. Matthew 5 isn’t the only place where scripture tells where to preach His great sermon. The gospel of Luke also speaks of the amazing sermon delivered by the Son of God. Luke tells us Jesus had chosen His the 12 that would follow Him & called them apostles:
Luke 6:13 And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as apostles:13 And when day came, He called His disciples to Him and chose twelve of them, whom He also named as apostles: 14 Simon, whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James and John; and Philip and Bartholomew;
But Jesus had way more than just 12 men following Him when they decided to sit and be a Rabbi as they call Him the teacher. I plan to do a series on the Sermon on the Mount and the Beatitude, explain what Jesus teaches me and you. Jesus is only looking and wanting the disciples following Him on that day. He knew you and I would be listening to His word even to them in modern time. He wants to tell you, you can have the kingdom of heaven. Tell you can have comfort, how to inherit the earth, how you can be completely satisfied. He wants to tell you and me who we can see God, receive mercy, how to be sons and daughters of God & all how to dash out or show revenge to those who mistreat you and hurt. He tells me and you, great is your reward, and we can be in the company of all the great prophets of the Holy Scriptures. Please pray for me as I take on this and pray that I learn as I teach and I hope we both get a blessing from the journey of the great sermon on mount. God bless you all, The Lord Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel Head
Isaiah 2:3 And many peoples will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, To the house of the God of Jacob; That He may teach us concerning His ways And that we may walk in His paths.” For the law will go forth from Zion And the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.
