Galatians 4:4-7 We Are Not Slaves, But Adopted Children of God
Children all want parents who will give them love,affection, direction, & a place to call home. Children who are born to a family really have a choice who they go home with, but are still very grateful. But adopted children feel very blessed, to be picked by a mother & father, then taken to their home & treated just like a child, the women & man, conceive, which some parents would say a conceived child, is labor of love. As Christian man is have seen many good stories adoption & only one said story of adoptions. I have many church family members who have adopted a beautiful child & raise him or her in their home, & they accept them for no matter what. They feed them, house them, & even pay for their medication bills, & even a very good education, I did word at a Christian troubled teen boys home for a couple years & heard of a horrible story of an adopted young boy. His name was Nick, he was a very young confused boy. It was my job to supervise the young boys there & correct them if needed, while I watching the boys walk from dorm to the next, I heard Nick used a racial slur, & unlike most staff working there, who would give 50 push-up as punishment, I told Nick want a 500 word essay on the this scripture by the end of week.
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
It was the first punishment I gave any boy there, & my co-worker thought how strange & I said, this is Christian boys school, let’s use God’s word to teach them. Nick did turn in his paper before the end of week, maybe he didn’t want me to put him on sugar restrictions. He had told me, thank you Mr. Sam showed me this verse, that says, all God people are the same & He sees no one any different if they all believe in Jesus Christ, I told him, thanks for his paper. Nick was an adopted boy from Russia, & he told me of all the violence he witnessed as a young child, & how his adopted parents save him & his sister. His parents were very wealthy, when they visited the school, they would take Nick to a NFL or NHL game & that is all he talked about. One day a staff member found Nick in a shower with another boy, when his adopted father heard him come with his carm pick up Nick & drop him off at a local orphanage. The staff & the boys were told about this in a meeting & we all felt sad for Nick, the counselor told us, maybe a lot parents if they could, get rid of the troubled children at any time if they were adopted also. This bible passage tells us, we become the adopted children of God, when we accept the fullness of Jesus. Like I said yesterday, the Law is like a loving parent teaching & raising a child, to live responsible adults. The Law of God was a tutor, to teach how to be like Jesus, but it is very impossible for me & you to be a perfect sinless Son of God, our spirit is strong but our sinful flesh is very weak. Jesus is the word of God, He lives & breath scripture & if He is tempted by the Devil, He uses God’s word to fight off the temptation;
Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live on bread alone.’”
When we accept Jesus, into our hearts, His Spirit, come to live in me & you, we gain freedom, from trying to be perfect like Him, by practicing God’s Law. Jesus the tutor of God’s Law, shows us, we have wronged Him, our Godly sorrow, tell Jesus I am sorry, please forgive me again. The Holy Bible tells me & you, the Lord forgiving mercies are new every morning, as long as my hope is in Him;
Lamentations 3:22 The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail.23 They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.
The Holy Bible tells me & you if we are righteous which characteristic we have as adopted children of God, when we sin or fall, we can rise back up, those who are not children of God, stay in their misery, cause they are slaves of sin.
Proverbs 24:16 For a righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, But the wicked stumble in time of calamity.
It is a glorious privilege to call God , “Abba! Father” just like our Savior Jesus Christ does. Let’s all be grateful for the gift of Jesus Christ, that Abba Father, gave me & you, which never stop giving. God bless you all,the Lord loves you & so do I. Sam H.
Romans 8:15 For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!”
