Acts 18:4

 And Paul was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks.

Ask the average Christian about the Sabbath, and most likely, they will say Saturday is a Sabbath for the Jews and Sunday for the Greeks (Gentiles or Christians). The Sabbath was established in Genesis 2:2-3, a long time before the nation of Isreal existed. In Exodus 20:8-11, God had to remind His people about the Sabbath because they spent 400 years in slavery.  In the four gospels, Jesus was resurrected after the Sabbath, but He did not declare the first day of the week, Sunday, the Sabbath. Acts of the Apostles is where the gospel was first offered to the Greeks (Gentile nation). Still yet God the Creator is the Lord, Maker of heaven and earth. So the Sabbath, the seventh day, remains because creation remains and heaven and earth have not passed away. The church is not a building, but it is congregational worship. Congregation worships happen in a synagogue or a church, even if that means someone’s house. Not all Jews rejected Jesus as the Messiah, and they worshiped with Christian Gentiles. The Messianic Jews were already keeping the seventh day Sabbath, so the Greeks (Gentiles) joined them. It remains that way for most of the first century. The Roman Empire could not stop Christianity’s growth, so Constantine the Great accepted it. In 312 AD, Christianity became legal; in 321 AD, Constantine used his Emperor powers to declare Sunday, the first day of the week, a day of rest. He merges the fact Romans worship the Sun and Christ the Son of God rose on Sunday as the official day to stop labor and worship however a Roman wished. God never changed the Sabbath from the seventh day to the first; no scripture says such. There is no Bible scholar, Pope, pastor, priest, or even a prophet to show scripture where Sabbath was changed. Many centuries later, most Christians worship on Sunday, the first day of the week, because it is the norm. When they learn of the seventh day, Sabbath, they are told, or they believe it was made for the Jew, but 70 times in the book of Acts, it says Jews and Greek otherwise. It is not written anywhere the Sabbath was made for the Jews or the Greeks, but was created by God for man, not a Sabbath for the Lord. Ask yourself, brothers and sisters, are you remembering the Lord’s Sabbath or the one a Roman Emperor made? God bless you all; the Lord of Sabbath loves you, and so do I. Acts 13:42 So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath. 43 Now when the congregation had broken up, many of the Jews and devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God. 44 On the next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.

Mark 2:27 Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath ]was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.
