Proverbs 6:30-35 Been Caught Stealing

Proverbs 6:30-35

30 People do not despise a thief if he steals To satisfy himself when he is hungry;31 But when he is found, he must repay seven times as much; He must give up all the property of his house. 32 One who commits adultery with a woman is lacking sense; He who would destroy himself commits it. 33 He will find wounds and disgrace, And his shame will not be removed. 34 For jealousy enrages a man, And he will not have compassion on the day of vengeance. 35 He will not accept any settlement, Nor will he be satisfied though you make it a large gift.

The idea that a person can sin against God and break any of the holy commandments  He wrote with His finger is really foolish. Of course, the Lord is full of love and mercy will forgive His children but the repercussions of sin and disobeying God’s word will happen. All ten of God’s commandments, is for our own good, not only to pay reverence and build a relationship with God, but also teaches humanity to practice the golden rule and love each other. Stealing to eat, even when someone is starving is still breaking the eighth commandments and committing adultery with someone’s wife or husband is breaking the seventh commandment, is still wrong in the eyes of God. A person may say, “ Oh there is nothing wrong with telling a little white lie here or there, but a lie to the Almighty God is still falsehood and that person is believing the white lie that is heard. Yes, it can seem innocent for a hungry people to steal bread to feed themselves, but depending how desperate someone is, they may lie on a job application, tax returns or for housing to benefit themselves but the Lord can still have knowledge of that lie. Adultery can start as innocent like a white lie, a man and woman who are married to someone else may exchange glances or wink at each other, and the spank of lust begins. Stealing a loaf bread from a supermarket will help a hungry man’s stomach, but supermarket owner still will lose  income not gain and he will raise the prices of other items to make up for the lost. Adultery is stealing the intimate affection that man or woman man promise to in the eyes of God and majority of their family to honor, love and respect, to hold in wealth or poor, sickness or health to death do them part. Jealousy is a powerful emotion, the Lord God is a jealous God, but He is not human, His loving mercy is new every morning.

Lamentations 3:22 The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end, For His compassions do not fail. 23 They are new every morning; Gret at is Your faithfulness.

King Solomon wrote a lot about love and passion in his book Song of Solomon, and he said love and jealousy both pretty powerful as raging fires,  death, grave, or the Old Testament word for hell, Sheol.

Song of Solomon 8:6 Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flames are flames of fire, The flame of the Lord. 7 Many waters cannot quench love, Nor will rivers flood over it; If a man were to give all the riches of his house for love, It would be utterly despised.

The Lord God didn’t design divorce when created marriage, He doesn’t know what unfaithfulness is. Because of mankind’s sinful nature, divorce exists, cause even a Christian who believes in the God of love and mercy, has a hard time forgetting a cheating spouse or someone that stole their husband or wives. God bless you all, stay faithful in your relationship, obey God, and love others. Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel J H.

Job 5:2 For irritation kills the fool, And jealousy brings death to the simple. 3 I have seen the fool taking root, And I cursed his home immediately.
