1 Corinthians 12:1-7 Concerning Spiritual Gifts
1 Corinthians 12:1-7
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware.2 You know that when you were pagans, you were led astray to the mute idols, however you were led. 3 Therefore I make known to you that no one speaking by the Spirit of God says, “Jesus is accursed”; and no one can say, “Jesus is Lord,” except by the Holy Spirit.4 Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6 There are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.7 But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.
The Lord Jesus, doesn’t want His followers to keep the gift of salvation to themselves.Because sharing His word with other lost people & gaining more souls to the Kingdom of God, is a Christian main purpose. Some people believe being a Christian, mean attending church once a week, saying a blessing over their meal, & maybe stop swearing with a soul mouth. When a person gives himself/herself to Jesus, the Lord gives him/her Spiritual talents or Spiritual Gifts. Jesus cause see our Talents & give out Spiritual Gifts, we are to use them for evangelism & witnessing. We may never know when we receive these Gifts, but others will see how the Holy Spirit of God, to make us soul winners for His purpose. I never knew years ago, I would be teaching the Word of God, but it’s not by my own knowledge & wisdom. Everything I do comes from a Spiritual Gift the Holy Spirit gave me. This Bible passage tells me & you, that there are many different Spiritual gifts, & why some churches only focus on one, is not Biblical, it is not Biblical that the whole church receives the same Spiritual. Just like a US Naval ship, there is someone in charge of a Captain, someone who prepares meals for the crew, he or she is the cook, then there is someone who direct & keeps track where the ship is going the navigator, & there are many more people or crew member who make a Navy ship protect & guard you & me. My dear friends, when you give yourself to the Lord, you won’t feel it or know it, but if you truly love God, He will give you Spiritual Gifts, to do His most awesome work.
