Proverbs 3:28 Love Is A Verb, Words and Action

Proverbs 3:28

Do not say to your neighbor, “Go and come back, And tomorrow I will give it to you,” When you have it with you.

In the summer of 2003, I went to truck driving school thought it would be a 2 weeks rest. I saw a beautiful place, like Arizona and  New Mexico, I saw land and dry ground. During my 8 weeks of driving with a trainer, I tried to collect keychains from each state I could and I put my spare change in a soda bottle. The trainer I was driving with wasn’t a very pleasant man,  and he would question my faith from time to time. I wasn’t good at driving a tractor and trailer,  I had  three small accidents in Nebraska, Indiana, and Ohio. So after my third fender bender, my employer  told me in Allentown, PA they had to let me go. They gave me a greyhound bus ticket to go home, at the greyhound station I was at waiting for the bus, wasn’t very pleasant itself. It was in a rough part  of town, and I mostly stayed to myself and I had forgotten I was wearing a white t-shirt that said, “ Got Jesus?” A Hispanic man came to me, I don’t speak Spanish but when he talked to me I understood very well he was asking me if I had any money, he even said he was $7 dollars short for a bus ticket. I told him,  all my money was on my debit card and the bottle of spare coins I collected. So offered him the bottle and he gladly accepted it, then he pointed  at my shirt and said, “ I love Jesus also, God bless you.”  He opens the bottle and counted the spare coins I collected, going through the pennies, dime,  nickels, and quarters. When he was done he was excited and had forgotten I don’t speak Spanish and told me, “ Gracias amigo, Alabado sea el Seño,” I know he had told me thank you, my friend, and something about Jesus. The reason for his excitement. The spare coins I had put away  the previous 8 weeks were exactly $7.00, the money he needed to buy his bus ticket. He kept telling me, thank you, thanks and he loved Jesus, I said I was glad to be able to help provide him with what he needed, with spare change. I had never forgotten that time in my life, I felt I was far from God. I knew He spoke to me in a lightning bolt I seen from miles in front of me and that trucking was a job He had in store for me. God had taken me  through freezing weather in Iowa one day to very hot in Arizona the next, a man who didn’t speak my tongue very well but was able to communicate enough to ask for help and even stranger  knew JESUS name on my shirt and the strange part was I had exactly 7.00 dollars on me. Cause the Lord knows what you have and what you don’t have. God bless you all, Jesus loves you and so do I. Samuel J Head

1 Corinthians 13:1  If I speak with the tongues of mankind and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If have the gift of prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give away all my possessions to charity, and if I surrender my body so that I may glory, but do not have love, it does me no good.
