2 Corinthians 1:18-24 Will You Say Yes or No To God
2 Corinthians 1:18-24
When it comes to answering the God of glory, the answer should always be Yes. Especially when it comes from the believers who call themselves His sons & daughters of God. The Lord God wants a firm answer, the is not half-away answers, it is either yes or no, there is not maybe or as Scripture say in the book of Revelation chapter 3:15-16;
Revelation 3:15‘I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot; I wish that you were cold or hot. 16 So because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of My mouth.
We Christians followers of Christ, are sealed by the blood & death & resurrection of God’s Son Jesus Christ. Scripture says the Lord God has sealed us & given us His Spirit in me & your hearts, what does that exactly mean, my brothers & sisters in Christ, the Word of God answers that question.
Hebrews 8:10 “For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel After those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their minds, And I will write them on their hearts. And I will be their God, And they shall be My people.
A covenant & seal exist together , in fact in the ancient days, a covenant was sealed with melted wax to keep it shut & could only be broken, by the one who made it, only the owner of the covenant their signature mark on the seal that sealed the covenant together. The covenant states the Lord will put His Laws in His people’s hearts, which goes against what most people believe, that God’s Law is no long good. The Law is what makes God’s people different from the rest of the people of creation. It doesn’t make me & you perfect, cause we still have sin within us, but because we have God’s law in our hearts, we know when we have broken God’s heart with our disobedience, just like when a child knows he or she, has disappointed their parents. But just like a loving parent, He accepts our humble I’m sorry cry my Father, please forgive & He does forgive me & you. But the people on the outside of the church, could care less if he or she is sinful, they just God is the God of love & can do whatever I like. But Jesus the Son of God, who is God’s seal tell the world the true meaning of love & obedience;
The Word of God, says He is always faithful to His people, but He demands a Yes or No, if my & your hearts are stuck in the middle, we are obedient to Satan by default, the Lord God doesn’t accept a maybe answer, it’s all or your or myself are just completely lost. My dear brothers & sister, don’t let your heart flirt with the salvation that God offers, or the damnation the Devil offers. My dear friends, I struggle myself to give the Lord 100% of myself, cause I am like Peter. I trust the solid floor of a rocky small fishing boat, rather than to put all my trust & faith in Christ Jesus, when I stepped out the water,
Matthew 14:30 But seeing the wind, he became frightened, and beginning to sink, he cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus stretched out His hand and took hold of him, and *said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” 32 When they got into the boat, the wind stopped. 33 And those who were in the boat worshiped Him, saying, “You are certainly God’s Son!
As long as my hearts say Yes, I walk with faith & walk the impossible walk on the weak water, if my heart say maybe, then I sink real fast, & only by praying the shortest pray in Scripture will my Savior reach out to me, pull me to safety, & realize at that moment Jesus is truly the Son of God, cause he saved my life from drowning in my temporary unbelief in terrible storm of life.
