1 Corinthians 10:1-5 A Spiritual Test In the Wilderness

1 Corinthians 10:1-5 

For I do not want you to be unaware, brethren, that our fathers were all under the cloud and all passed through the sea; 2 and all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3 and all ate the same spiritual food; 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them; and the rock was Christ. 5 Nevertheless, with most of them God was not well-pleased; for they were laid low in the wilderness.

The Lord God rescued the Hebrew slaves from Egypt and sent them freedom, they were saved from the seven plagues of Egypt including the plagues of the Passover death. All of ancient Israel’s firstborn sons were saved while the non-believer Egyptian’s son were killed by the plague of the Passover. So the Israelite were set free, to go though Promise Land to worship their Lord Go. freely in the land flowing with milk and honey. All of the former slaves had to take a journey through the wilderness to get to the promised land, little did they know, not many of them made, cause they disbelief & love for the God who set them free. They saw miracles, me and you can only read about or see fake images on the tv or big screen. Scripture says they walked on dry land, where the Red Sea was, to the left and right of Hebrew as they walked were walls of ocean water, being held by the wind of God. They even watched as God let the strong winds go to the sea waters to  crush and drown the Egypt army. When they got hungry the Lord gave them manna, which scripture calls angel bread;

Psalm 78:24-25 He rained down manna upon them to eat And gave them food from heaven. 25 Man did eat the bread of angels; He sent them food in abundance.

This passage the all the people freed from slavery, all at the same spiritual food and drink all the spiritual water, that the Lord bless them with, like in says in the Gospel, God send down rain on the righteous and unrighteous, the Lord simply blesses every person, cause He is the God of love;

Matthew 5:45 so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.

But now all of Israel that left as slaves from Egypt to go to the Promise make it there, exactly only few made, cause all the non-believers die in the wilderness, cause even after receiving all the blessings and miracle God had sent them, their hearts were too hard to put 100% trust in God and they never had the faith to please Him. Dear beloved, during this time of Passover, let us put 100% faith in God, and not let all our tests in the wilderness of life. Cause the people who are not happy with pleasing and God here on earth, those people will be unhappy pleasing and worshiping in the kingdom of God. God Bless you all, the Lord loves you and so I.
